Scrapbooking Delights

Last night I went to the midnight crop at Scrapbooking Delights. I was very pleased to get 3 layouts done.

The first 2 are scraplifts of 2 gorgeous layouts by Scrapbooking Memories Master Kim Arnold using the new Basic Grey Origins range. I am really enjoying using these colours, they are gorgeous and totally different to what I would normally scrap with.

Check out the gorgeous organza flower. It was made by Sandra. Owner of Scrapbooking Delights. Gorgeous huh?!
This is the latest sketch from Inspired Blueprints using the new Making Memories Flutter range. Such a cute girly range of papers featuring florals and butterflies. So cute!

.
I was planning on getting a little bit scrappy tonight too but I have my niece Isabelle staying over and the girls stayed up a little later than I thought they would. It's now 10.30pm. A little late to start something now I think.

Not so Scrappy

This past week has not been very scrappy for me. I've had a lot on my mind. A dear friend of mine has been sick with Cancer for the last few months and unfortunately she lost her battle in the early hours of this morning. I'm so thankful that I decided to go and see her yesterday. RIP dear friend. You will be missed xx

I also received some not so great news about my SIL's Mother in Law this afternoon. Unfortunately she is battling some sickness of her own. Please spare a thought or a prayer for their family to get them through this tough time.

On to happier things....I scrapped 2 layouts for the CC at savvy on the weekend.

Here is Emma's challenge. This is also my 'week 6' layout for my 52 weeks of me album. Thought I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
and the Blind Scrap held by Sar. I really love how this one turned out. The colours are so lovely together. MLS are great good quality papers to work with. I really love them.
Have a great week. Hopefully I'll get a little more scrappy as the days go on and I'll have more to share in a few days.

They wanted to be twins....

These photos of Abbey and her gorgeous little cousin Isabelle taken the morning after the camp-out in Abbey's bedroom (post from yesterday).

The journaling talks about how when Abbey saw Isabelle wearing that top she said..."hey that's my top!" and Isabelle replied with "NO IT'S NOT! IT'S MINE!" I had to interupt and remind them that they both had the same top....they had to be twins and wear the same then!

until next time...

Cool Chicks

A couple of weeks ago I had a little too much sun and couldn't wear any straps over my shoulders so I went strapless for about 3 days straight and of course Abbey thought that was super cool and felt the need to do the same thing. She told me we looked like "cool chicks" and that we should take our photo like models lol here is the result of our "model" photo shoot.

The pics are pretty blurry because they were a spur of the moment thing on my iPhone but the memory is still there regardless of how good the photos are.

hope you're all having a fab week!
