2 more layouts

I'm on my way out the door to go and pick up Abbey's birthday presents from the shop but thought I'd quickly post these layouts now because I don't think I'll have time after this morning - we have a very busy week ahead with school, work, swimming lessons and Abbey's 7th birthday on Wednesday.

This first one is of Abbey and my Niece Chloe being silly together while enjoying an ice cream at Nanny and Poppy's house Easter weekend.

This next one has a bit of a story that goes with it and the journaling explains it all but it's hidden journaling....the story goes... The family have always supported the Dragons until my 13 yr old niece moved to Melbourne and started supporting The Melbourne Storm...she is now known as "The Traitor".

I love the serious looks I'm getting from Abbey and Nate in the photo - don't you think they look like the guards of a club....quite seriously telling people "Only SERIOUS dragons fans allowed" haha

(I hope you like this one Emily...it was inspired by you and your Facebook comments about the Dragons losing last night and how it's about time you can finally say "HA HA" to your family)

I love the friendly banter with Emily about her choice of football team :o)

Hope you are all outside enjoying the sunshine!!! I will be later this afternoon.

Last Night...

So, I got home from the crop at almost 12.30am but was NOT ready for bed yet, I had a layout to finish so I finally dragged my very tired self to bed at about 2.30am - what a nutter eh? Needless to say I was VERY tired when the alarm went off at 7am for netball. I decided it would be a good idea for me to stay home and do the washing and Daniel to take Abbey to netball, I wasn't ready to get out of my PJ's yet!!

anyway...here are my layouts......both are scraplifts from Scrapbook Trends magazine

I am pretty happy with how they turned out. Especially the the second one of my Father in law and the girls, I absolutely adore those papers and that little scrapware duck - GORGEOUS!!

I have been scrapping on and off all day today (in between cleaning and washing etc). Nothing like starting a layout at 10am and still working on it at 9.30pm lol Not to worry, it keeps me out of trouble.

On the home front - we had a very successful day teaching Abbey to ride her bike without training wheels this afternoon. She rode for approx 60m on her own before taking a tumble. We are so proud of her and have a little gift waiting for her as a reward for being brave and ditching the trainers, she just has to manage the take off part unassisted first and I think if we practice every afternoon this week by next weekend she will be an expert at it!

Hope everyone out there is having a great weekend - it's supposed to be 26 degrees here tomorrow so fingers crossed it is and we will be outdoors enjoying the sunshine!

6 layouts for the weekend

WOW, I haven't scrapped this much in months! It's amazing what you can do when you get new papers, challenges and sketches to work with - oh and of course some time without children too ;)

My 6th layout for the weekend is a scraplift of a layout I found on a blog/site somewhere a few weeks back - It's too dark to take pics right now so I'll upload it tomorrow.

Back to work tomorrow :o( I am really looking forward to October when Rochelle comes back from maternity leave so I can go back to having Monday's and Friday's off work!

Hope the week ahead is pleasant for you all

it's been a scrappy weekend

and I've managed to do 3 layouts so far. This first one I did as 8.5 x 11 rather than the standard 12x12 and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out

the journaling talks about how much Abbey would like to have a sister and about our decision to try for another baby. Here is the same layout once I mounted it on 12 x 12 (so it can fit in the album nicely)
I am going to try to do more layouts in different sizes....it's a nice change from the std 12 x 12.

I tried to make this next layout as masculine as I could seeing as it is for an album I have just started for Daniel. I am really struggling with boy/men layouts, they don't come so easily.

This next one is my favourite of all the layouts I have ever done. I LOVE this photo of Abbey and I LOVE these papers from Sass Lass that I have been hoarding for so long because I didn't want to cut them up. I have also used a piece of October Afternoon from their new range ducks in a row...nice papers!!

Abbey is out today having a play date with her BFF Keira so I have a little more time up my sleeve - hoping to get a little more done before her return.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

forgot to post this earlier....

(boring post but it's for my memory)

Abbey played netball this morning agaisnt Shellharbour. They won 2-1 and Abbey scored the first goal of the game. This is her 2nd goal of the season. I am so proud of her. Here she is sitting in the backyard after the game.
