My Only Child

Here is a layout that I'm not overly happy with but it documents something that is important about Abbey's life as an only child.

I have used a sketch by Anthea for this one.

Blind Scrap @ Challenge Heaven

Last weekend was the Cyber Crop at Challenge Heaven.  Saturday night was the Blind Scrap where quite a few of us laughed, fumbled and questioned what on earth was going on.  Once I worked out inches rather than centimetres we got it moving.  Nothing like cutting your paper the wrong way on step 1 hey girls?! lol

Here is my layout....head over the the gallery to see what the other ladies came up with.  Upload your CC layoutsby midnight Thursday to be in the running for some fab prizes!

Aren't those Dear Lizzy papers gorgeous!  You can find them at a great price here

Hope your week is going well,

you can see me....

.... in scrapbook creations mag later this year! This will be my first time published in this magazine and my 3rd layout to be published. YAY!! Hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was busy but so much fun. Yesterday we had a rollerskating party to attend...

we all had fun. The adults were trying to remember how to skate, the kids were learning how to skate and only a couple of little falls. We're looking forward to going again soon.
Have a good Monday,

My crazy husband

Another layout of Daniel...trying to do more about him so in years to come people don't assume I was a single parent lol

This photo was taken on our family get together on Australia Day this year. There are no BBQ facilities at the park we attended so Daniel bought a little travel BBQ to take along with us and he thought it was the best thing ever so now "we can have a BBQ anywhere!" - GREAT - note my sarcasm lol
{new travel BBQ for you}

He's such a clown at times, the cheesy smile on his face and the stupid pose crack me up!! Oops, forgot to mention, this was an IB sketch!

A Great Man

**WARNING - THIS POST IS SUPER SOPPY**

I know it sounds all soppy but I rarely have anything bad to say about my DH. Don't get me wrong, there is the odd time when I want to strangle him but I'm sure the feeling is probably mutual at times!!

In the years we've been together so much has happened, we've had a child, got married, moved interstate, made lots of new friends, worked in totally new fields, studied, moved back to NSW and there were times when it was really stressful and difficult, especially moving interstate to start a new life but after all that we're in love, enjoying our little family and loving our life :)

This layout is a tribute to him and my view of him. Journaling reads....

"The best husband I could have hoped for. He's a great support, always good for a laugh but best of all, he is who he is, no pretending"

I LOVE that he doesn't have to pretend to be something/someone he's not....he's just him, like it or lump it!!

{scraplift of Wendy Smith's layout from WIOIN May 2010}

hope you're having a good week,

So CUTE!!!

hopefully I'll have a layout to share tomorrow.

Creative Scrappers...

...is a sketch site I've often looked at but never participated, until I saw their latest sketch. It's perfect for all the scraps you want to use up. This layout is another in the long list of layouts created using my kit from Storyboard Kits. I love how all of the layouts have turned out so differently, it's so nice to see a kit that can create so many different styles.

{On a warm winters day}

(The only thing I've added that weren't part of the kit are the yellow alphas)

Hope your week is going well

Sketch #51

I am trying to do more multi photo layouts to tell the story properly so when I saw sketch #51 at IB I couldn't wait to give it a go.

These pics are of Abbey and my nephew. These guys were born 7 months apart and have always been great buddies. You can tell from the photos how much they enjoy being silly together.
{Pair of Clowns}
I've been enjoying using up some of my old Jillibean papers and alphas, some of these I've had for almost a year! Crazy to hold on to them and continue to buy new ones!! I'm sure I'm not the only person guilty of it though ;)

Knitting

Every school holidays our local library does activities for the kids.

This holidays they taught the kids how to knit. Knitting is something Abbey has wanted to learn for a long time and since learning she hasn't stopped. She has knitted 2 bookmarks and a pillow for BooBah (the little stuffed dog she sleeps with). Watching her pudgy little fingers work those needles really is the cutest thing I've seen in a long time. I'm really proud of her and so is her Nanny (also a knitter) and Daddy.....well, he's just amazed that she can actually do it!!

The 2 Jades

This is my entry for the KIU challenge for July. Scrapping 4-6 photos isn't always easy but once I found this great sketch from Inspired Blueprints and teamed it up with my kit from Storyboard Kits it wasn't as hard as I initially thought.

{the 2 Jades}

These photos of the girls aren't the greatest - I think my finger must have been in front of the flash but who says a photo needs to be perfect to be scrapped!?

Define Good.....

I am trying to use up old papers and kits I've had laying around for ages. I've had this kit since last year....put together by the talented Lisa Warren. I love how this layout turned out....the title is perfect for the cheeky look on Abbey's face.

Storyboard and Anna's sketch

Here is my take on the sketch at Anna's for July using the Abigail kit from Storyboard Kits.

{Your new fave park}

I'm so happy with how it turned out. Looking forward to scrapping with the kit again tonight. Don't forget to head over to the site and secure a subscription so they don't sell out next month before you get your hands on one!

Storyboard Kits

The 1st of July saw the debut kit for Lisa Warren's Storyboard Kits. I was one of the very lucky fans to get my hands on one before they sold out (very quickly).
Here's the kit..

Lisa has some very talented gals on her DT and when I saw what Kim Arnold did with the kit I couldn't help but scraplift 2 of her layouts. Be prepared....when I say I scraplifted them, I mean, I totally copied every thing she did except for the photos and journaling of course.

Here are the scraplifted layouts.

I will share another of the layouts using this kit tomorrow. That's 3 so far with HEAPS of product left for plenty more!

Scrapbooking Whispers

Over at Challenge Heaven myself and 5 other ladies recently participated in Scrapbooking Whispers. I started it off with this layout...

and passed it on to Kylene and so on and so forth....this is how it all panned out...

Amazing how different they all look!

We will start a new round very soon. If you want to be a part of it, keep an eye out in the forum.

I'm scrapping tomorrow night with my SIL Hayles. Will have something else to share, finally!

Have a good weekend!
