Bookclub

I have just returned home from my book club meeting for March. I only just finished this months book about an hour before I had to leave. I really didn't like it so I was pretty quiet throughout the proceedings...didn't want to be negative so just enjoyed my meal (and the dessert of course) and listening to the other ladies discuss their favourite parts of the book. I must admit, hearing their thoughts made me see the book in a new light and I might give it another shot. Sometimes hearing someone Else's take on it makes all the difference!!

The book for next month is.....

I have heard so many mixed reactions about this book. I can't wait to read it and see what everyone is on about. This weekend will be the perfect time to read it. Abbey and I have already decided we are having a pyjama day on Saturday....that is, no rushing, relax, after showers, put on clean pj's and enjoy!!! I don't care who knocks on the door, I'm going to enjoy every bit of it!! Abbey sooooo loves PJ days, just like her mummy! So, the only things on the agenda are relaxing, relaxing and more relaxing. It's only Tuesday and already I can't wait!!

Again, no scrapping to share. I did however put in another lovely order full of lovely embellishments....if it arrives Friday I can see Abbey and I scrapping a fair bit this weekend.

I noticed on Anna's craft cupboard blog that there has been a new release of sass lass pp's arrive. I'm about to head over now and check them out.

hopefully everyone is having a great week - I know I am :o)

A couple of pics from our Sunday

First a pic that was taken last night. Abbey and I decided to watch Shrek the Third on DVD and snuggle on the lounge with popcorn and pillows - oh, it was so relaxing!

This pic cracks me up. I set the timer on the camera and had to run back to Abbey so that I didn't get a pic of my butt! As I was running back to her I was saying hurry mummy hurry and she was getting a little excited and panicy that we would miss the timer....how funny are her eyes!? As soon as I sat down and grabbed her, the flash went off!

today we had Keira's 6th Birthday party. All the girls had an amazing time together. I'm sure they will all sleep very well tonight!

Keira's grandmother made her cake. What an amazingly talented woman she is, she even made the ballerina from sugar icing, would you check out the detail.....

The school friends enjoying time together away from school.
Daniel is coming home early this week - YAY so we're going out for dinner tonight. Abbey will be so excited to see him because she's not expecting to see him until tomorrow morning because normally he comes home late Sunday night when she's sleeping.

I hope everyone has had an enjoyable weekend!

my saturday....

...was spent relaxing with friends. Abbey and I rush around every morning to make sure we both get out the door by 8 am to get to work and school on time so last night I made it clear that we were having a 'no rush morning'...we had breakfast in bed, watching cartoons and flicking through a magazine, ahhhh bliss!!

At midday we went to visit Mishel to wish her a happy birthday for tomorrow and from there we went to the ski park and they rode the jet ski in the lake while I relaxed and watched the kids.

From there we went for a visit to Rochelle and Guy's place and we had a nice chat while the girls enjoyed playing and riding scooters in the yard.

This evening I'm not sure what Abbey and I will do but I wish there was a good movie on TV! I should be studying (I know that)!

Tomorrow we have Keira's 6th birthday party, Abbey is really looking forward to it.

Until next time,

busy busy busy....

not busy doing the things I want to do though :( It's just been one of those weeks, it started bad and it's just not getting a whole lot better! All I seem to have done this week is work, cook, wash, clean and not much sleep!! I'm really hoping for an early night tonight. OMG, listen to me whine!! poor me huh? lol

Abbey and I have been shopping this afternoon; It's her best friends birthday party on Sunday so off we went to buy a birthday present. I really struggle to buy presents for kids I don't know well. Abbey's choice was Bratz dolls, I am so over buying Bratz dolls so we scoured the shelves of Target and K-Mart until I found something that I thought was suitable and Abbey gave her approval.....
I used to love games when I was a kid...I'm hope Keira loves it. We also bought her a photo frame to put this picture in
and we'll get her a couple of girly things like bangles, lip gloss etc to finish it all off.

Daniel has only been gone 1 night and I want him to come home already!! My neighbours are driving me up the wall with their late night antics. The father goes away for work and the teenager that lives there has her friends over until all hours of the night. I have already complained once and the father promised me it wouldn't happen again, not even a week of bliss and it has started again. I think I finally got to sleep at about 1am only to be woken by my alarm at 6.45am!! Fingers crossed tonight is much quieter.

wow, sorry for the whining, it's just one of those weeks!

my weekend

well - no baby news since my last post - Rochelle was kind enough not to give me a big fat TOLD YA SO! She finished work yesterday which means I am officially working 5 days a week now - no more Rochelle, it's all my responsibility -HELPPPPP :)

We had a great night on Saturday night. The girls all took turns decorating Rochelle's birthday cake and took turns licking the spatula!!

Miss Rhianna did the first coat of icing

Miss Abbey did the next bit

Miss Taylor fixed up the little girls mistakes

Wouldn't ya know it....I didn't have anything to light the birthday candles with, not even a box of matches in my house so we just pretended. Would ya check out the pic below...Rik and I were laughing so hard at it. Taylor and Abbey were in the middle of playing dress-ups when we called them for cake so they look like no one owns them, Abbey looks like that drunk at a wedding that shouldn't be in all the pics but appears everywhere lol. Rhianna's face makes me laugh so hard and Guy looks so unimpressed - probably because he was surrounded by all of us girls. Rochelle is the only one that looks half decent in this pic, it was her birthday after all!

so, another year older and another year of friendship. She is truly the best friend I could ask for, I don't know where or what I would be without her constant friendship, caring and advice. Rik, I hope I assisted in making your birthday a memorable one, Love you!! xoxo

Sunday was spent at the park with SIL Karen and nieces Chloe and Molly, it was a gorgeous day and Kaz and I had a nice chat as always. It was great hanging out with them. In the afternoon abbey and I visited the in-laws and myself, Abbey and Poppy all went for a walk to the pond to feed the ducks whilst nanny knitted then home for a quick tidy up and relaxed until Daniel got home from work.

The last couple of days have been crazy too! On Sunday night Abbey started to show the initial signs of an asthma episode which always scares me. Daniel took her to the doctor yesterday and he has put her back on her preventer medication and Ventolin every couple of hours. This is the only thing I really don't like about living in NSW, the cold weather gives Abbey hell :( I can't trust the teachers to give her medication every couple of hours when they have 22 other kids to take care of so I took her to work with me today and she is so much better this afternoon so I'm pleased I kept her with me. Unfortunately she missed out on swimming lessons and netball training this week because of it but fingers crossed they are the only things she misses out on as the colder weather approaches.

I will try to get a little scrapping done this week. Daniel goes back to work tomorrow and I just got a delivery yesterday from Anna's Craft Cupboard OMG there are some gorgeous papers and I have so many challenges that I want to complete by the end of the month. i don't like my chances of getting them all done though, I have a book club meet next Tuesday night and I have only read 15 pages of the book for this month. This book is not really my style so I'm really pushing myself right now to finish it off before the 31st.

Has anyone out there read this?? What did you all think of it?

Until next time

whats wrong with me????

I STILL don't feel like scrapping!!!! I suspect I'm just a little tired right now because I have just gone back to working 5 days a week. I haven't worked 5 days a week for a year now and really enjoyed my couple of days at home to myself. I guess it will just take a little bit of time for me to get used to it again.

Thank goodness it's Friday! It was a busy day too, drop Abbey at school, work, pick abbey up after school, Abbeys haircut appt, bank, post office and was home just before 5 o'clock YUKK - I like to be home for the afternoon and not have to drag Abbey around with me, I really need to find more hours in the day.

Rochelle (BF) only has 3 weeks to go until the baby is due and today was her second last day at work (only monday to go) and she was complaining about pains in her thighs and back ache etc, I think she is in the early stages of labour but she keeps brushing it off saying that it's just pain in the legs and back!! I think she forgets she's pregnant!? So, after I got home she called to tell me she isn't feeling 100% and that her MIL is taking her DD to swimming coz she "just can't manage it right now" and then she hung up then she called me back again to tell me "oh god, I just feel awful" and again i told her that when she gives birth this weekend I'm gonna tell her a big fat "TOLD YA SO!" Her and Guy cannot come up with a name they both love. She currently wants Mackenzie Paige, we wants Reece Elly (I think Elly is what he wanted for middle name) and today she said, if we can't agree she will end up being Paige Elly "because that's the only name we can agree on". I personally would like them to name her Elly Paige or Mackenzie Paige because I think they are gorgeous names but I guess if I want the pleasure of naming a new baby I best just have another one of my own!! I know as soon as I see her new baby girl and I hold her my heart will melt with desire for my own new little baby. Daniel and I have been so up in the air about will we/won't we have another one that I think this little one might just push me over the edge! It's only taken me 6 1/2 years to really give it a lot of thought haha

Now that it's on my mind, if we have another one it HAS to be another girl. Neither of us are very interested in having boys (not much we can do about that though) and so for a girl I love the following names:
Lucy
Meg
Amali
Mackenzie
Grace

and for a boy (oh heaven forbid)
Joel Cameron
Cameron Kenneth

aahhh one day....rolling my eyes :o)

Until next time,

oh no....

my baby is growing up way too fast!! Does anyone know how I can stop this??? She lost another tooth this afternoon - number 3! I knew it wouldn't hold out until after school photos were taken!

Daniel went back to work this morning and isn't home until Sunday night. Normally I would be straight into scrapping but I just don't seem to be 'in the mood' for it right now. I'm actually waiting for Abbey to go to sleep so I can head off to bed myself. I need to play 'tooth fairy' first though - I can't forget that!

I went and had a haircut yesterday, my amazing cousin did a great job, as usual. My fringe is getting shorter and the rest is getting longer. My hair hasn't been this long in years. Not the best pic but you get the idea.

I'm off to work again tomorrow for the end of my working week, yay! Change of plans for the weekend. I was having Rochelle (BF) and family over for dinner because it's her birthday on Saturday but her and hubby have decided to go to a restaurant instead and leave the 2 girls with me. Good idea I say, they only have 4 weeks until girl #3 arrives, they need to time away while they can get it. So, the 3 girls and I are going to have a lovely dinner together and decorate a nice birthday cake for Rochelle for when they get home from dinner. I'm looking forward to hanging out with the girls, should be fun!

hope everyone has a nice weekend planned

My life is becoming VERY BUSY

...with Abbey's swimming lessons and netball training (starting today) and I'm now working 5 days a week! Whoa, where has my quiet, laid back life gone?? I really don't have anything exciting to share with you because well, basically I worked all day yesterday and then - wait for it....I went to bed at 8pm last night and woke up just before 8 this morning!! I felt so great thing morning and still have so much energy - even after being at work this morning. Daniel is home this week until Thursday morning so probably won't get a whole lot of scrapping done but I'm not too concerned about that, it's really nice having my family together and just hanging out watching TV etc.

Hope everyone out there is having an awesome week!
until next time,

busy day

today there is so much I need/want to do and I'm running out of time fast! I was doing pretty well until my mum called, and we talked for almost 2 hours...ah, not to worry. So, I know I said yesterday that I wasn't going to get anymore scrapping done this weekend but I told a fib. Abbey and I went walking yesterday and on the way back called into the video store and she got a movie for the weekend so of course she wanted to watch it as soon as we got home. I was not going to watch Barbie Fairytopia so off to the scrap room I toddled and this is what I came up with...

I loved both of these pics and couldn't decide which one to scrap so I just did both...there's no rules here!? I love the colours I have used here and will be sure to come back to them, they must be 'my' colours because I found them so easy to work with. I guess working with beautiful designs like Sass Lass and OA make a bit of a difference too - love these papers!

Well, I'm off to get the rest of my chores done. Washing is almost finished, then going to grocery shopping (yukk).

Until next time,

quick post

I just wanted to quickly post these layouts. This is probably all the scrapping I'll do this weekend. Daniel has gone back to work and there are so many things Abbey and I want to get done and unfortunately, I think scrapping will have to wait.

A really nice day...

After work this morning, Daniel and I decided to go out for some lunch together and browse the shops until Abbey finished school and for the first time in ages, we got to pick her up from school together!! I know it sounds like such a simple thing but when he's away for up to 6 days at a time, it feels nice to be able to do things like that.

Tonight, we had my best friend Rochelle and her 2 girls, Taylor and Rhianna over for dinner. it was so nice having them here. We don't all get to spend enough time together, her husband works away from home too so unfortunately, his and Daniels days off just don't match up, these things happen I guess.

so...no scrapping but I do have a couple of funny little snippets of Abbey...her joke first:

Q. What do you call a smelly fairy???
A. Stinker bell !!!

Abbey and I had a little tiff last night because of the attitude she has been displaying of late so I sent her off to bed in a bit of a hurry but she kept yelling out to me that she wanted an eye mask so she could make it dark to go to sleep (it was pitch black outside, it was just an excuse to say something). She finally went off to sleep...when I went to check on her this is what I found....

I'm off to study for a bit before I head off to bed - Daniel is watching the footy show YUKK!
Until next time,

Another layout completed

I hope everyone is having a good week, we're almost over the hump!

Daniel comes home tonight and I just can't wait for him to be here to help me with Abbey. The last couple of days she has turned into a pre-teen little...hhmmm, what's the word I'm looking for....PERFORMER!! That's the word. She is trying to compete with me for "master of the house" status and it's just not making me happy at all! I am trying to be as calm as I can about it and just explain to her that she is the child and I am the Mum and as soft as Daniel is with her there are times when I just need his male voice to blast her back into reality because mine sure isn't doing it right now! Fingers crossed she gets over this stage very quickly!!

So...to try and calm myself last night I did a little scrapping but I wanted to watch Packed to the Rafters at the same time so decided that rather than dragging all of my scrap stuff downstairs I would just take a few things across the hall to my bedroom and scrap on the floor in there and watch TV....for anyone thinking they will give this a try DON'T!! I ended up packing it up and putting the layout aside until I could figure out how to fix it...it was terrible! I ended up pulling it apart, tearing the paper as I did that, then I had to distress things with ink and make it look like it was meant to be like that, then chop here and chop there and finally came up with something that I am now quite happy with. I can't take any of the credit for the buttons and pearls cluster at all....I got that from page 99 of the current creative paper magazine - layout by Bridgette Hatton. So...here is my creation....
I'm hoping to get a little more done tonight after Abbey is in bed.

Just before I go, I want to say thank you to all those people leaving me comments on my blog, it's so nice to know that people are popping in for a look around, thanks for your lovely comments because it gives me a chance to stop in at your blog and peek around too, I love it!

Until next time,
Shell xx

oh dear....

Today, Abbey received her first love note from a boy!! Can you believe it - she's 6??? When she showed me she was very shy about it and asked me not to tell anyone else- only dad. blogging about it isn't technically telling anyone ha ha so...here is the note.

I just HAD to take a picture of it so I can scrap it of course. I'm sure she will look back on this in years to come and laugh and think it is as cute as I do.

The funniest part of all is that she knows it's from Angus but doesn't know which Angus lol Terrible life having so many admirers huh??

I don't really have anything else to share today. Daniel isn't home until tomorrow night - this has been the LONGEST week ever!! I'm thinking that an early night and some TV in bed will be my plans for this evening. Hope you're all feeling more energetic than I am!?

Weekend layout pics

hi...here are pics of the layouts I did last night...

this was a layout featured on Anna's craft cupboard blog that I lifted

this one was a recipe on scrap of difference

this one was also a recipe on scrap of difference
I tried twice to get a card done for Karen's sweet Sunday sketch but I just couldn't put one together. I love the sketch and her example is beautiful but for some reason mine is still sitting here half done and I just can't seem to find the right thing to finish it off. I have until Thursday though so will keep looking through my stash and see what i can come up with.

OK....so I came up with something that i think works for that card sketch....

I put 2 layers of puffy mounting tape to really make it stand out!

Until next time,
Shell xx

house work is calling me :(

I managed to get 3 layouts done last night. Abbey went to bed early - after a couple of late nights over the weekend she needed it. When she went to bed there was nothing on the tele so scrap I did....
It's a dark and gloomy day here so there's not much chance of taking and decent pics of them so will post them last - hopefully the sun will show itself at some stage. In the meantime I will be busy trying to get the housework done so I can sit and concentrate on this
OK - off into a cleaning frenzy I go, I'm sure I will see you back here later with my LO's from yesterday and hopefully a card for today

Saturday night...

WOW, Saturday nights have changed from going out partying to scrapping the night away while other people party. There was a party in my street last night and the music was so loud but it was good music so I just opened up my window and scrapped and sang along. There was no way I could sleep, it really was loud, so I got back up and scrapped some more!

This one is for the Inspired Blueprints Sketch #11 - love this LO. I love that the colours aren't all loud and Christmasy...I really wanted the photo to stand out.

and this one is for the Scrap the Girls sketch - not loving this one at all....think I might re-do this sketch prior to submitting.Abbey and I have just finished doing a card for her little friend at school. These girls are amazing, every weekend they make something for the other and bring it to school all proud and exchange cards/gifts. Abbey wanted to make a REALLY COOL CARD (her words) this week so we used the cricut - Walk in my garden and Alphalicious cartridges and came up with this..
she is very pleased with the result and she should be, she chose it all, I just cut it and stuck it.

The weather isn't very good here today and Abbey and I are pretty tired from the lack of sleep last night, I'm trying to convince her that lunch and and afternoon nap is a good idea, wish me luck!!

Until next time,

Saturday Scrapping

Daniel went back to work at 5am this morning and after a nice visit from my SIL, niece and nephew it was straight into the scrapping.

I finally got the White with 1 challenge done. This month the challenge was to use White, Navy and stars and here is my creation.....

I can't wait to see everyone else submits for this one because the criteria felt like very boyish.

Our pyjama party was nice last night.
We watched a Scooby-Do movie and look what we ate....
do you think Abbey was happy about it???
OK, back to scrapping, thank goodness I already cooked the lasagne for dinner so I don't have to cook tonight...an easy salad to go with it will be perfect.

The Mardi Gras is on in Sydney tonight, I'm hoping it's televised so I can watch it after Abbey is in bed. My cousin and his new partner are up there enjoying the festivities, hope they have a great night. Happy Mardi Gras everyone!!

Until next time,
Shell xx

Pyjama Party

Abbey has been begging us for ages to have a PJ Party so we decided tonight is the night. We all went off to the shops to get supplies of yummy food and Abbey picked a movie. That means no scrapping and definitely no blogging BUT I snuck away for 5 mins.

I have started a new thing with Abbey where once a month (or thereabouts) I want to ask her the same 5 questions and see how her answers change as she grows older. Today was the first time...I think she's going to be a politician because she's always asking me to ask her questions and she calls it 'question time'...here we go...

1. Tell me the best thing about you
Face

2. If you could tell me never to serve two vegetables again, which two would you choose?
Carrots and snow peas

3. What is your favourite toy?
Macamoo (her stuffed dog that lives on her bed)

4. Can you describe the most beautiful place you have visited?
School (This one made me laugh)

5.Tell me about your 2 favourite movies and why you like them so much
I like any bully because it's so funny and Carebears because they're cute.

So...there you have it, a 6 year old girl and her views. I managed to snap a couple of pics while I was asking her the questions, love the thinking face!

Until next time,
Shell xx

It's getting cold

Oh No, Summer only just finished less than a week ago and already it's getting cold at night time :( We had dinner with my in laws tonight (MIL birthday) and we were sitting outside and it was chilly. Gone are the nights of sitting outside enjoying the warm fresh air and chatting with friends and family - BUT, in saying that, colder weather is always nice spent snuggling on the lounge watching a dvd or uumm, hmmm, what else can you do on a cold day? Scrap?? Oh yeah, NICE! haha

I have done no scrapping or card making since my last post and I don't even have any pics to share, I have d.loaded them onto my PC and they have gone missing!! Of course I have already deleted them from my memory card. That is the first time that has happened to me! I'm not happy JAN! I hope someone else was taking pics at cake time but I think they all thought I had it under control so didn't bother.

Well, I have a day off tomorrow and Daniel and I are going to all the furniture shops to look for a new bedroom suite for Abbey. It will be her 7th birthday in August (I know it is months away) and she has specifically asked for a desk so she can do her homework in her room. When we put her in a big bed we did just that, we bought her a double bed and there just isn't enough room in there for a desk and a double bed so we're off the get a whole new suite. I have browsed the Ikea website and they have something very nice that I would like to have a closer look at but the store is 1.5 hours away so I thought I might try all the local places first. Not only that, I have never been to an Ikea store so I have no idea what the quality of the furniture is....can anyone tell me?? Please leave me a comment if you have purchased furniture from Ikea before and let me know if its cheap because it's terrible quality. anyway, I'd better be off, Daniel is home tonight and I want to go and watch some tele with him.

Until next time,

BETTER PICS

The sun finally came out so I took some pics of the layout from last night and also of the card I made.

I'm really in a crafting mood so I'm hoping to play around with some ideas for Rochelle's birthday menu, cake, decorations, present, wrapping, card etc. I am cooking her a birthday dinner in a couple of weeks and I want it to be a night to remember so everything has to be perfectly co-ordinated OF COURSE! She has been my friend for about 15 years and no-one knows me like she does (except for Daniel) and she would expect nothing less than perfect co-ordination from me. I think it amuses her that I spend so much time thinking these things through....especially my linen closet shh don't tell the world but I colour co-ordinate that too ;0)

anyway, off I go to organise things and also to avoid finishing that assignment, I KNOW, IT'S STILL NOT DONE...(I should be given an award for the worlds biggest/best procrastinator)

Shell xx

HUMP DAY

thank goodness it's Wednesday - I know, I know, I only work 3 days a week but I would so rather be at home or lunching with friends/family than go to work and deal with those boys and their personalities! ugh!

Abbey News
Her top right tooth is almost out - I really wanted it to hang in there (so to speak) until school photos have been done, they haven't announced when the photos will be taken hhmm is it the wrong thing to do if I super glue her tooth back in for the day? lol

Well, it's the beginning of the month and most challenge sites that I visit have their challenges already set for the month. I have completed one scrap challenge already for Black Magic. This one came together so quickly and easily and I LOVE IT!! I know the colours aren't exactly the same as the colours of the challenge but it does say to use those colours as a guide - close enough is good enough and I noticed that some members of the DT have included other colours and some have omitted the pink all together.

I found that I submitted too soon last month because last month the more time that went by, the more ideas started coming to me so lets just call this one a 'first draft'.

I am going to post this picture but remember I took it last night so it is very dark. I'm waiting for the sun to come out but it doesn't look like it will so a better pic will be taken at a later date and I will re-post.

I also made a card last night but will post that at a later date.

hope everyone has a good hump day, until next time

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Here is my take on Karen's sweet sunday sketch #7. This is the first time I've participated in a card challenge before and I'm pretty happy with the result. I seriously need to get my hands on some stampin' up products though!! My sister in law is having a stampin up demo at her place sometime in the future so will wait until then and in the mean time, I'll be saving my pennies up :)

I need to remember to take my pictures before the sun starts going down. The dark scallop card stock is actually pink but it looks like a rusty colour in this picture.

I'm off to finish my assignment, y'know the one I promised that I would have finished about 2 weeks ago??? hhmmmm card making and scrapping is much more fun.

Until next time,

I am testing if I can actually add a link in here. Thanks Sarah for your help with this one...

A quiet sunday

spent with Kylie and the kids. Fish and chips in the park and a nice chat. I haven't seen her and all the kids together for years, pretty slack considering I'm their god mother. Not to worry, it was a lovely day but without pictures I'm afraid. It was mainly me, Kylie and Ebony (14) chatting all day and the other kids were off playing in the park for hours so I didn't even think to get the camera out, not like me at all. I'm looking forward to getting together with them again and spending lots of time getting to know her new baby (number 5) when he is born on or around the 16th April.

I've just finished watching P.S. I Love You. I don't really know what to say except that I'm disappointed. I read the book in a weekend about a year ago and Rochelle told me not to watch the movie because it was so different to the book and I've put it off for so long but in the end I watched it. It made me cry a little and still broke my heart in parts but certainly not anything like the book. I'm going to try and watch some of Gone with the Wind tonight, that movie never disappoints me. I don't think I've watched it in 10 years, I hope my opinion of it hasn't changed.

Well, I best be off to cook dinner for Abbey and I. Chicken Stroganoff tonight, yum! Oh, and I am going to attempt a card sketch tomorrow too. From Karen's blog (not sure how to put links in here yet but will figure it out soon). here's a picture of the sketch.
Until next time,
Shell xx

Awesome day

I have a couple of pics to share and if you read my post from yesterday then you know I was meeting friends for lunch in the park, here are the pics.

This handsome little dude is Jay

Tallest to shortest: Tyler, Abbey and Abby

My Abbey hangin ten waiting for the girls to arrive

love this pic of Abbey

This is the beautiful view we had all day

Just had to throw this pic in from yesterday, look how unimpressed Abbey is to have more pics taken haha

Abbey takes my breathe away sometimes, she looks so grown up in this picture - what a beautiful girl I have!!

I met the girls for lunch at 11.30 and at 4pm after lunch and ice creams we were still talking like we hadn't seen each other in 20 years, oh well, it was fun and oh so relaxing! Tonight I invited my friend Charmaine over for Thai take away and a girly flick. We ended up getting Gone with the Wind and P.S. I love you but guess what....we talked too much and she left here at about midnight without even thinking about watching a movie...surely I couldn't possibly talk anymore?? well, I gotta do it all again tomorrow with Kylie and the kids....will have more pics to share tomorrow of my day out with them. I think I'm going to need a rest after this weekend (my voice will anyway).

Until next time,
Shell xx
