I've been scrapping up a storm

It all started on Friday night at the Savvy Crop and basically hasn't stopped. Every day since then I tried to scrap. ...once you get bitten by the bug it takes over!

Anyhoo....here are my layouts.

This is my little brother Nathan and Abbey. They drive me nuts when they are together, you will read about it in the journaling close up.

This one was a blind scrap I have done before but didn't realise until I was part way through it - doesn't matter, I still love it.

This was a blind scrap at Savvy. I really love how this one turned out!!

That's all from me for now. I don't have any plans for the upcoming 3 day weekend yet so looks like it will be a scrappy weekend for me - not that I'm complaining!!

Until next time,

blind scraps

I have done a couple of blind scraps recently. If you don't know what that is.....you are given a list of supplies req'd (i.e. 5x7 portrait photo, 3 x pp, 1 x cs etc) and then you are given step by step instructions on how to complete the layout. It's always interesting to compare your layout with the layouts completed by others participating in the scrap too. Everyone interprets them differently or adds their own little touch - and it's a super quick way to complete a layout without over thinking it.

Here are the last couple I have done.

I'm off to the gym now...it really is time to get myself ready for summer. It's only been spring for a couple of weeks and today it's already 30 degrees.

finally...

I have been trying to scrap this pic for so long. At the crop last Friday night I played around with it for hours and just couldn't find the right papers to go with it. I was so worried about matching the papers with the colour of their netball uniforms that it was putting me off. In the end I just grabbed some nice papers and did it and I am SO happy with how it turned out!

The only regret is not doing strip journaling to make it neater but in the end...who really cares - abbey is gonna look back on it in years to come and I'm sure the furthest thing from her mind will be my untidy journaling...anyway, here's the layout....

here's a super cute one of abbey and isabelle using the new Cosmo Cricket - Earth Love and a bargain find for the base....Collage Press margot collection.
This next one means so much to me. The journaling talks about how Abbey's b'day is not only a celebration of her birth but also a celebration for Daniel and I on becoming parents. She LOVED this one when she read the journaling this morning (she's so mooshy sometimes!)

and lastly is a blind scrap I did on the Savvy forum....I am so happy with how it turned out!
I have a couple of others that I'm working on - better go and get em finished!

Until next time,

another day...

another layout.

A challenge to use white, green and tan/neutral, rounded corners, buttons or beads and a stitched border. Love this pic of Abbey and taken on a walk to the duck pond behind my in laws house - Good Friday.

This week has been very busy. I have been to the gym lots, scrapped lots, 2 swimming classes for Abbey as well as work etc. and today I'm TIRED! I'm off for an early night so I'm completely refreshed for crop night at Savvy tomorrow night.

Hope you're all having a good week!

I don't believe it....

another layout complete.....

This one was a colour challenge to use browns and creams and also to cut out the pics.

I have had these papers for SO long, obviously just waiting on a challenge like this to use them.

I have a really busy day today, work, swimming lessons, washing, cleaning, gym - trying to fit it all in early enough so I can get some more scrapping done tonight...I've caught the scrapping bug this week, that's for sure!

3 new layouts

The first one is of Abbey meeting my best friend's new baby. The journaling says:

Meeting Paige was such a special moment for you . This was the first time you were allowed to hold a brand new baby all on your own. You were so loving and gently. A gorgeous moment.

This one was a number challenge to use 1 photo, 2 word title, 3 different patterned papers, 4 flowers, 5 rhinestones and 6 pearls.

This one was of abbey's 7th birthday party guests. This was a sketch challenge.

another layout of abbey's 7th birthday. You're going to be seeing a lot of these in the coming weeks, I just had LOTS of pictures of her party/dinner printed.

This one was a sketch challenge as well as a challenge to use the following: quote "it's the little moments that make life big", lots of inking and some chipboard or wood.

Time goes so fast....

I can't believe it has been almost a month since I last posted. It's not that I haven't been scrapping, in fact, I have quite a few layouts to share.

OK, here are the pages I've done the last couple weeks.....

I think I'm FINALLY done with all the Christmas pics from last yr (I think)

I really don't think I like this one at all. I mean, I LOVE the pic but just not sure about the colours I've used on the layout and it looks a little bare to me but don't know what else to put on it so just left it for now.

I used old Inspired Blueprints sketches for the next three....not sure what numbers the sketches are though (sorry)
I LOVE this paper/colour combo and the pics of cute little Molly of course!

I have done another couple of pages but not ready to be photographed and uploaded just yet.

Hope everyone has had an enjoyable Fathers Day....we've had a great day. (I'm ignoring the fact that I exploded an egg in the microwave this morning and just pretending it all went perfectly) LOL

I'll leave you with a gorgeous pic I took of Abbey and Daniel this afternoon....how gorgeous are the blossoms on that tree behind them??

Happy Fathers Day Daniel....you're a great Daddy (even if you do embarrass Abbey with the the "dad dance" when her friends are here lol)
