My PC is sick!!

Yesterday I downloaded a program and when I restarted my PC it wouldn't boot up again. I have some kind of disk error message and I'm can't believe how lost I feel without it. Lucky I have my laptop to use for internet but I have no access to photos or anything!!! I will take the PC into work tomorrow morning and get it fixed and hopefully it will be all back up and running before the beginning of the month so I can upload everything to Challenge Heaven for the new month of challenges!!

by Jolene Pienaar

I was just reading a story in SC and it really made me nod my head in agreement.

In her article she says "There are so many different ways to scrapbook your photos; there is no wrong or right way." she goes on to say...."Don't get caught up in the hype to compare yourself to others; you are scrapping for yourself and your family and it should be fun!"

I'll leave you with a quote by Bob Basso, " If it's not fun, you're not doing it right!

I couldn't agree more!!!!!

Heal and Toe

I remember learning the Heal and Toe Polka dance in primary school and I loved it. I thought I was so grown up and clever. It makes me smile to see Abbey enjoying the same things I did at her age.

These pics are of the bushdance she attended while we were camping over the summer holidays.

Hope you're all having a great week. My weekend begun about 6 hours ago. That brings a huge smile to my face :o)

p.s. Thanks for all the lovely comments you leave on my blog. It's so nice to see you've popped in for a visit!

p.p.s. This is not an original design. I scraplifted from a blog, think it was October Afternoon. Not sure.

WIOIN Sketch Challenge

I have been scrapping up a storm this week. I wont bombard you with all of them at once. Here's a couple though.

This one is a sketch taken from the WIOIN blog. It doesn't fit the criteria for the challenge (Hayles forgot to tell me the word LOVE had to be in it somewhere haha!)

and here's another of the same sketch....this time, it fits the criteria.

How cute is that new Jillibean Soup paper?? It's Easter themed on the other side but I really loved the back of them better!

Have a look at the top right hand corner of my blog....I have added that new little chat screen. You can leave little love notes in there, how cute!! Leave me a note to let me know you visited :)

Scrapbooking Delights Sketch Challenge

Scrapbooking Delights is my LSS. They don't do online sales but they do have a facebook page that you can become a fan of and they are now running challenges on their FB site. This month it's a fab sketch by Renne Miller.

Here is my take on her sketch. I don't normally use purple at all but I had these purple thickers....I have no idea why I bought purple (they must have been really cheap) and when I had the opportunity to use them with this new range by Basic Grey I jumped at the chance!! The funny thing is that I've had these purple thickers on my mind for some time now and knowing that Abbey doesn't own anything with purple in it I was struggling to team them with something. when I got her out of the bath this particular night and used her purple towels I had a light bulb moment and quickly snapped a few shots of her - the things we do for a layout huh!?

Hope your weekend was great.

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #43

I went along to the midnight crop at my LSS (scrapbooking delights) last night. I got 2 layouts done and had a great catch up and chat with Renee, Lisa and the girls.

Here is one of the layouts I did. My take on sketch #43 at Inspired Blueprints using the gorgeous new range by Cosmo Cricket.

my other layout didn't photograph well this afternoon so I'll try to remember to upload that one tomorrow once I've taken another pic.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Scraplift

I have scraplifted a layout by Anthea to create this one of Abbey. I loved the way she cut her 4x6 pics down to fit them all on the page to tell a story. The design was perfect for this little story of Abbey and her "Oh Great!"....tantrum. A great way to use scraps too seeing as most of the page is taken up with pics, you don't need much PP.

Our year in review

Using the same LO design that I did for the Christmas photos a couple of month ago. I love this design to fit lots of pics plus room for journalling too if you want it. Very simple and easy to complete. I can see me doing something similar every year. Especially seeing as I always take so many photos that I can't possibly scrap them all!

I have had a very scrappy week and have completed a few more but will share later in the week.

Totally Natural Me

I was blog hopping a few weeks ago and came across this layout and knew I had to give it a go. I love the simplicity of it and how the photo remains the feature of the page. I will definitely be doing this layout again for Abbey's album. It was so quick!

Hoping to share more soon...
