well - no baby news since my last post - Rochelle was kind enough not to give me a big fat TOLD YA SO! She finished work yesterday which means I am officially working 5 days a week now - no more Rochelle, it's all my responsibility -HELPPPPP :)
We had a great night on Saturday night. The girls all took turns decorating Rochelle's birthday cake and took turns licking the spatula!!
Miss Rhianna did the first coat of icing
Miss Abbey did the next bit
Miss Taylor fixed up the little girls mistakes
Wouldn't ya know it....I didn't have anything to light the birthday candles with, not even a box of matches in my house so we just pretended. Would ya check out the pic below...Rik and I were laughing so hard at it. Taylor and Abbey were in the middle of playing dress-ups when we called them for cake so they look like no one owns them, Abbey looks like that drunk at a wedding that shouldn't be in all the pics but appears everywhere lol. Rhianna's face makes me laugh so hard and Guy looks so unimpressed - probably because he was surrounded by all of us girls. Rochelle is the only one that looks half decent in this pic, it was her birthday after all!
so, another year older and another year of friendship. She is truly the best friend I could ask for, I don't know where or what I would be without her constant friendship, caring and advice. Rik, I hope I assisted in making your birthday a memorable one, Love you!! xoxo
Sunday was spent at the park with SIL Karen and nieces Chloe and Molly, it was a gorgeous day and Kaz and I had a nice chat as always. It was great hanging out with them. In the afternoon abbey and I visited the in-laws and myself, Abbey and Poppy all went for a walk to the pond to feed the ducks whilst nanny knitted then home for a quick tidy up and relaxed until Daniel got home from work.
The last couple of days have been crazy too! On Sunday night Abbey started to show the initial signs of an asthma episode which always scares me. Daniel took her to the doctor yesterday and he has put her back on her preventer medication and Ventolin every couple of hours. This is the only thing I really don't like about living in NSW, the cold weather gives Abbey hell :( I can't trust the teachers to give her medication every couple of hours when they have 22 other kids to take care of so I took her to work with me today and she is so much better this afternoon so I'm pleased I kept her with me. Unfortunately she missed out on swimming lessons and netball training this week because of it but fingers crossed they are the only things she misses out on as the colder weather approaches.
I will try to get a little scrapping done this week. Daniel goes back to work tomorrow and I just got a delivery yesterday from Anna's Craft Cupboard OMG there are some gorgeous papers and I have so many challenges that I want to complete by the end of the month. i don't like my chances of getting them all done though, I have a book club meet next Tuesday night and I have only read 15 pages of the book for this month. This book is not really my style so I'm really pushing myself right now to finish it off before the 31st.
Has anyone out there read this?? What did you all think of it?
Until next time
Shell xx
